About

The Mid-West Interfaith Network is a group of people from diverse faith groups in Limerick and its environs. The faith traditions represented include Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, Quakerism, Anglicanism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, the Baha’i Faith and Zoroastrianism.  Our group is also fortunate to be associated with, and supported by, many people who have no specific religious affiliation but who share our vision.

The MWIN was founded in May 2010 as a result of of an informal discussion after a work-shop organised by Doras Luimní and delivered by Dr Marcus Braybrook, President of World congress of faiths.  This meeting was held at the Georgian house in May 2010 and sparked interest in the creation of a local interfaith network.

Through our meetings we aim to build an understanding of one another’s faith traditions and to create bonds of friendship and mutual understanding.
